Clemson released a statement on Friday saying its home game against Auburn, originally scheduled for this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, is still scheduled for this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

But no news is good news in this situation, as Hurricane Irma approaches the southern coastline of Florida. It is expected to bring bad weather further north as the weekend continues.

Clemson does not expect any changes on Saturday, though, so that’s a positive sign for players and fans alike as they anticipate this matchup.

The Clemson-Auburn game will be televised on ESPN.

Here is the full statement from Clemson:

“Clemson Athletics officials have continued to monitor the situation around Hurricane Irma and work with law enforcement, weather and public safety personnel to receive updates on the path of the storm. We continue have no changes to previously announced schedules – kickoff time remains at 7 p.m. – and we do not anticipate any changes tomorrow. We continue to ask all fans traveling to the area to be patient and plan for possible extended time getting into and out of town on gameday.”
