Coastal Carolina has reached into the SEC to fill one of its off-field recruiting roles.

FootballScoop reports that new coach Tim Beck has hired former Auburn assistant director of player personnel, Jared Tucker, to become Coastal Carolina’s new defensive recruiting coordinator.

Tucker, who played collegiately at FCS Eastern Kentucky, was in an elevated role at Auburn when it beefed up the recruiting department under former head coach Bryan Harsin.

The Chanticleers are rounding out the new staff under Beck after he was hired Beck to replace Jamey Chadwell when Chadwell left for Liberty to replace Hugh Freeze after Freeze left for Auburn.

Coastal Carolina finished 9-4 in 2022 and lost the Birmingham Bowl against East Carolina.
