A disappointing 7-6 season led to some rumors surrounding Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs. Nonetheless, his contract has him with the school for a good while.

AL.com obtained documents with details about Jacobs’ contract. It reportedly runs through 2020, and it may be extended through 2021 by virtue of a one-year renewal option at the end of each academic year.

Jacobs signed a five-year contract with the school in 2011. He assumed the position in 2004 after spending time in almost every area of Auburn’s athletics department over a span of 20 years prior to that.

Jacobs’ base salary is $600,000 per year with other additional incentives built into the deal, which is set to expire on June 30, 2020.
