Details are starting to emerge in the reasoning behind Duke Williams’ dismissal at Auburn.

Speaking to AL.com on the condition of anonymity, a witness says Williams “punched two security guards, a bartender assistant and another unidentified patron of a bar” on Saturday following the team’s win over San Jose State.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn spoke Tuesday about the conditions involving Williams’ dismissal, but did not provide specific details.

The witness says Williams appeared intoxicated and was hanging with an entourage that had violated the bar’s dress code by wearing sunglasses indoors. He caused a scene and later threw punches.
