Auburn star wide receiver D’haquille Williams took a nasty hit Saturday during the Texas A&M game, and AL.com’s Brandon Marcello┬áis reporting — citing a source — that Williams’ MRI revealed no tear to any ligaments and that Williams sprained his medial collateral ligament and bruised his right knee.

Williams went down on a low hit from Aggies’ cornerback De’Vante Harris during the second quarter, and he missed the rest of the game.

The JUCO transfer and first-year Tigers player will miss the Georgia game next week, but could make a return as soon as Auburn’s final non-conference matchup against Samford on November 22.

There has been no official announcement from Auburn.
