Auburn rising junior defensive end Elijah Daniel was arrested and booked Wednesday on theft and burglary charges.

Here’s the report from AL.com:

Daniel was booked on four theft of property charges ranging from first to third degree, including two third-degree charges, and four burglary charges ranging from second to third degree. His bond totals $24,000, according to online records.

Two of the theft charges and all four burglary charges are classified as felonies.

Gus Malzahn said he’s aware of the situation, and Daniel has been suspended from the team indefinitely.

Daniel recorded 15 tackles and one sack during the 2014 season and is expected to be a key cog in Auburn’s new-look defensive line under Will Muschamp. He was listed as a four-star recruit and the No. 51 player in the country out of high school, according to 247Sports.

We’ll update as new information is released.
