ESPN NBA Draft expert praises Walker Kessler's performance vs. Alabama: '1st rounder tonight'
Walker Kessler had a huge game against Alabama in Auburn’s 100-81 win on Tuesday night at Auburn Arena.
The Tigers’ big man scored 14 points, but was more impressive on the defensive end, recording 12 rebounds, 7 blocks and 4 steals.
After the outstanding performance, ESPN NBA Draft expert Mike Schmitz tweeted that Kessler played like a first-round pick on Tuesday night:
One of the more impressive defensive performances I’ve seen from a center prospect in some time. Walker Kessler has dominated this game taking only 8 shots. 7 BLK, 4 STL, 12 REBS. Elite instincts/timing as a shot blocker. Staying down on fakes. Even switching. 1st rounder tonight pic.twitter.com/yugwDuXEh7

Kessler hasn’t been getting a ton of buzz as a first-round pick this year, but he could certainly work his way into that mix if he finishes the year strong.
One thing is for certain — there’s not a better shot blocker in the country than the one playing his games at Auburn this year!
