Fans rip CBS broadcaster Gary Danielson for comparing Auburn QB Bo Nix to Tim Tebow
Former Florida QB Tim Tebow was one of the greatest players ever to play college football, winning the Heisman Trophy and two national titles during his time with the Gators.
Bo Nix is a true freshman who has played well for Auburn so far this season, but still has a lot of room to grow.
On Saturday afternoon’s CBS broadcast of the Florida-Auburn game, commentator Gary Danielson compared Nix to the Florida legend. Now, Danielson didn’t put Nix’s accomplishments on par with Tebow’s accomplishments. It was more of a style of play comparison, but it still didn’t go over well on social media.
As you can imagine, fans were not happy with the comparison, taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure with Danielson:

Can Nix be a superstar? Absolutely, but perhaps we should hold off on the Tebow comparisons for a bit.
