Former Auburn DB Armani “A.D.” Diamond is staying in the state of Alabama.

Diamond, a former Blount High School standout, tweeted Friday that he has committed to continuing his football career at UAB.

Diamond was rated the No. 55 recruit in the state of Alabama for the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. He was committed to Louisiana Tech but flipped to Auburn during the Early Signing Period for 2021 on Dec. 16, 2020, before Bryan Harsin was hired the following week.

In his time on The Plains, Diamond did not see the field. He redshirted in 2021, his true freshman season. On Oct. 26, 2022, Harsin confirmed to reporters that Diamond was no longer on the Auburn roster. Diamond did not make any appearances for the Tigers before leaving the team.
