Former Auburn DL Marlon Davidson has a new NFL team. The San Francisco 49ers signed Davidson on Monday.

It’s a 1-year deal for Davidson. He’s entering his fourth season in the NFL.

Davidson spent his first 3 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. In the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected No. 47 overall in the second round by Atlanta. In 3 seasons, Davis has played in 19 games, recording 29 tackles, 2 passes defended, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery and 1 sack.

Davidson made his first-career start in the 2021 season. He was placed on injured reserve following arthroscopic knee surgery on Sep. 1, 2022, and released by the Falcons on Oct. 25.

From Greenville, Alabama, Davidson played for Auburn from 2016-to-2019. In his AU career, Davidson appeared in 51 games and tallied 175 tackles, 17 sacks, 9 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries.
