Former Auburn OT Greg Robinson needs to lose weight
The Los Angeles Rams invested quite a bit in former Auburn OT Greg Robinson when they selected him No. 2 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately for the Rams, Robinson has ingested quite a bit since he’s joined the team.
According to ESPN, Robinson admits that he needs to shed some weight from his 336-pound frame before the start of the season:
“I’m dealing with a little weight problem,” Robinson said. “But it’s camp. … Just eat healthier, try to watch what I eat and don’t snack too much. That’s the main thing. And just be aware of the possibilities of gaining weight. It’s so easy because there’s so much food right now.”
Rams coach Jeff Fisher was pleased with Robinson’s effort in Los Angeles’s first preseason game, a 28-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
But, even though he didn’t play as much as he would in a regular-season game, Robinson admitted to being fatigued afterward:
“I did feel a little winded in the game,” Robinson said, “and we didn’t really have many reps.”
Being tired after only 13 plays isn’t a good sign for the former Auburn standout.
This season will be a turning point in the 23-year-old tackle’s career, for better or worse.
