Auburn RB Kamryn Pettway left school a year early to enter the 2018 NFL Draft, but unlike backfield mate Kerryon Johnson, he didn’t hear his name called during the seven-round event.

Instead, Pettway signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings, but now his time in Minnesota has already come to an end.

On Monday, the Vikings announced that they had waived four players who participated in this weekend’s rookie minicamp, and Pettway was one of those players.

Now, Pettway will be on the hunt for another NFL team to try to latch on with, but after a quick stint in Minnesota, he won’t exactly be a hot commodity.

However, he ran for 1,224 yards and seven touchdowns against SEC competition in 2016, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to see him in action for an NFL squad this summer.
