Former Auburn standout to miss rest of season for New York Jets, per report
The New York Jets drafted former Auburn LB Jamien Sherwood in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and he’s made an immediate impact.
So far this year, he’s recorded 14 tackles in 5 games and has made 4 starts.
But, now, it seems his rookie season is over. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Sherwood will miss the rest of the 2021 campaign with a torn Achilles:

Achilles injuries can take a long time to heal, so hopefully Sherwood is ready to go in time for the 2022 season.
Sherwood had his best game in a Week 5 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in London, recording 6 tackles in the matchup.
