Former Auburn WR Sammie Coates helping Pittsburgh food bank
Former Auburn wide receiver Sammie Coates, who enters his second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is beginning a new “Pledge It” drive to raise money for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Excited to support @PghFoodBank the season with the help from my teammates | Pledge a donation per touchdown: https://t.co/zkf1vl5HUN

His plan will benefit the food bank and its outreach wing, the Produce to People mobile food pantry, which serves about 7,000 families in and around Pittsburgh.
You have the option to donate as little as $1 for each Steelers touchdown this year or make an overall donation of $40 to enter a drawing to win a signed helmet after the season. There’s also an opportunity to donate $400 or more, which you would then receive an invitation to a “Champions Reception” on Nov. 15, where you can meet Coates and receive an autographed photo.
Coates was selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft (87th overall). He recorded one catch for 11 yards in six appearances last year as a rookie.
