Frank Thomas congratulates Auburn on a great season after College World Series loss
Frank Thomas is one of the most famous baseball players to come out of the Auburn program, and he still keeps a close eye on his beloved Tigers.
Auburn’s season came to an end in Omaha on Tuesday night, via an 11-1 loss to Arkansas in a College World Series elimination game.
But, the Big Hurt is still proud of his squad. He took to Twitter to congratulate the Tigers on a special season, shouting out coaches Butch Thompson and Tim Hudson:
I’m still proud of the Auburn Tiger baseball program. What a season men. Great job Butch Thompson and Tim Hudson. Getting to Omaha is a major accomplishment! #War DamnEagle

Auburn got to the College World Series by winning a regional it hosted, then going out to Corvallis, Oregon, and taking down Oregon State.
Can the Tigers get back to Omaha next year? Thomas and other famous Auburn alums will be watching closely!
“Getting to Omaha is a major accomplishment!”
Not according to some Tennessee fans here.
Of course it is, its just not as big as going 57-9 and being the number one team all season. You remember those teams, as everyone remembers Miami’s 95 team. But in all fairness, unless you obsess about college baseball, who remembers the teams that made it to Omaha, or even won it even a couple of years out? For most teams that have regular and good seasons, it means everything. For a team that breaks all time records during the regular season with the top ranking, Omaha is an added bonus. So it really kind of depends on how your regular season went. Despite Ron, I’m very proud of Auburn this year. Congrats on a fine season Tigers.
Go back into hiding.
Charles Barkley: “They wuz not turrible”.
Seeeeweeeee! Congrats on a good season. Just wish some of your fans didn’t have to start rumors about TN.
