Grayson McCall, former Coastal Carolina QB, reportedly set to visit SEC program
Grayson McCall, an intriguing prospect on the quarterback transfer portal market, is set to visit an SEC program.
McCall has not yet set a date but confidence is high that Auburn will host the All-Sun Belt star this week, 247Sports reported. McCall is believed to be one of the best QB options coming out of the portal given his experience and accolades.
He was a three-year starter for Coastal, and in 2020, the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year was a finalist for the Manning Award and a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award, the conference Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Sun Belt Conference.
This season, McCall was again the Sun Belt Player of the Year and passed for 2,633 yards and 24 touchdowns with 2 interceptions. He still has 2 seasons of eligibility left if he decides to use his extra year from the NCAA because of the pandemic.
Overall, McCall out of the spread triple-option offense passed for 8,019 yards and 78 touchdowns with just 8 interceptions in his career. He also has 1,053 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
