Highly touted freshman Tank Bigsby is Auburn’s leading rusher through seven games. Bigsby has 527 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 92 carries.

Just 3 of those 92 carries came in the Tennessee game, which Bigsby exited early with an injury. On the ESPN broadcast, reporter Allison Williams said Bigsby had a lower-body injury.

While Auburn was able to defeat the Volunteers without Bigsby, the Tigers are going to need their leading rusher if they’re going to have a shot at No. 1 Alabama.

On Sunday, AU coach Gus Malzahn addressed the current status of Bisby, along with offensive tackles Alec Jackson and Brodarious Hamm.

“All three of those guys couldn’t really finish the game,” Malzahn told reporters, per Jason Caldwell of 247Sports. “All three of them, at this point, I’ll say will be questionable. That’s probably the best way to put it. We’ll see as the week goes on as they progress.”

Bigsby’s status will be closely followed as we near Saturday’s Iron Bowl, set for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff from Tuscaloosa, airing on CBS.
