Items from last year’s Iron Bowl continue to hit the auction block.
The game-worn sweater vest and turtleneck of Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn will be auctioned by SCP Auctions on Dec. 6, reports ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell.
The sweater and turtleneck is framed with photos, including one signed by Malzahn. The auction house estimates the items could sell for as high as $20,000, according to Rovell.
“With the one-year anniversary of the Iron Bowl approaching, we anticipate great demand for this item,” SCP Auctions spokesperson Terry Melia told ESPN.com.
Malzahn donated the clothes to Managers on a Mission, a non-profit that funds faith-based mission trips for student managers to international destinations by selling collegiate gear that is no longer being used. The group consigned Malzahn’s vest and turtleneck to the auction house, according to Rovell.
Earlier this month, it was announced the helmet worn by Chris Davis in the Iron Bowl sold for $47,190.
The auction for Malzahn’s items opens on Nov. 19.
