Hugh Freeze and Auburn face off against Ole Miss this weekend on The Plains for what should be a good test for both parties involved.

Ast the SEC’s weekly teleconference Wednesday, Freeze was asked about his relationship with Rebels HC Lane Kiffin. He was also asked about the comparisons between the 2 programs’ offenses.

Here’s what he had to say:

“The first thing is currently there is noticeably difference,” Freeze said. “They’re obviously one of the top 10 in the country offensively and we have yet to find any kind of consistency. And so I do think I’ve had offenses before that look similar to what he’s doing there. But they do it really, really well and he’s done a great job there of creating an identity for who they are and he attracts good players and obviously he’s a great offensive mind, always has been. And I know him fairly well. His brother was with me many times, we coached against each other while he was the offensive coordinator at Alabama and he was always gracious, even when we beat them. I remember that vividly and respect that about him. The job he’s done in building there has been great and has always had a great admiration for his father also. Of the times I’ve been around Lane, he’s been nothing but pleasant to be around.”

The Tigers and Rebels face off at 7 p.m. on ESPN this Saturday.
