Hugh Freeze assured fans that he’s not worried about Auburn after the loss to Texas A&M.

He reminded fans that rebuilding a program doesn’t happen overnight, and he’s got plenty of experience taking over a struggling team.

“This is not my first rodeo taking over a program that’s struggling,” Freeze said in a press conference Monday. “I’m not at all phased”

Before coming to Auburn, Freeze was the head coach at Liberty, where he led the Flames to a bowl game in his first year and a 10-1 record in his second year.

Freeze is hoping to have similar experience at Auburn, but he knows they will have to take time to get recruits in and also develop the players on the current roster.

“People want success,” Freeze said. “They want you to win now, and they want you to win every single game. I get that… We will get better. Recruiting will help with that. But in the mean time, you have to get the ones you have better.”

Freeze is off to a 3-1 start after dropping the first SEC game of the season to Texas A&M last week. The Tigers have a tough game ahead of them against Georgia, but Freeze believes that his team is on its way to winning more games.

“The wins will come, I believe that firmly,” Freeze said.
