Hugh Freeze was announced as the next head coach of the Auburn Tigers on Monday.
One of the 1st people to welcome the coach to Auburn was none other than Bruce Pearl. Pearl took to Twitter to welcome the Freeze family to Auburn, saying “We (Auburn) got us a ball coach.”

Pearl has been at Auburn since 2014 and has 1 Final Four appearance and 1 SEC Championship with the Tigers.
Freeze was announced as the next Auburn HC after spending the previous 4 seasons at Liberty. Freeze led the Flames to at least 8 wins in each of his 4 seasons, including 3 bowl wins over that time. Freeze replaces Bryan Harsin as the full-time head coach.
It is expected that Cadillac Williams, who had been the interim HC, will be retained on Freeze’s staff.
