Jakaleb Faulk, a 4-star edge out of Highland Home, Alabama, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC after he drew heavy interest from several schools.

Faulk, who is nicknamed “Starburst,” announced a commitment to Auburn after he was recruited by Zac Etheridge and Josh Aldridge. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds. He’s rankedas the No. 12 edge in the country, and the No. 11 player in the state of Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite. His finalists were Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Florida.

“I’m looking for people that want to bond with you,” Faulk said at Big Cat Weekend when asked what’s important in his recruitment, per the Montgomery Advertiser. “People that are really about family. The people that want to pour into you everyday and the people that want to make you a better person off the field and a better player on the field. That’s it.”

Faulk’s brother Keldric, a 4-star defensive lineman, is a member of Auburn’s 2023 recruiting class.
