Jalewis Solomon has found a home in the SEC. But it’s not the landing spot experts were expecting for the blue-chip prospect.

Multiple recruiting experts logged recent predictions for Solomon to go to South Carolina. On Saturday, however, Solomon announced his commitment to Auburn.

A Schley County standout from Ellaville, Georgia, Solomon is listed as measuring 6-1, 185 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Solomon is rated 4-stars, the No. 19 ATH, No. 30 recruit in the Peach State and No. 230 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

While the ATH label is for multi-position prospects, Lewis’ future at Auburn appears to be in the defensive backfield. He was recruited by Zac Etheridge and Wesley McGriff.

Solomon picked up scholarship offers from 27 schools during his recruitment. In June, he included Kentucky, Texas A&M and Florida State in his top 5, along with Auburn and South Carolina.

With Lewis on board, AU now has 15 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. Auburn fans can get a preview of what Solomon brings to The Plains by checking out his junior season highlights below, via Hudl:
