Auburn has just added some much-needed depth to the team’s running back room this week as former Central Michigan back Jordon Ingram has joined Bryan Harsin’s program.

Prior to this news, Auburn had just three scholarship running backs on the roster (Tank Bigsby, Shaun Shivers and Devan Barrett — who was listed as a defensive back in recent seasons) with incoming freshman Jarquez Hunter not yet on campus.

Ingram signed with Central Michigan out of St. Paul’s in Mobile, Ala., as a member of the 2020 recruiting cycle but he made the decision to enter the transfer portal after not playing last fall.

News of Ingram’s addition to the roster was first reported by Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Sports. According to 247Sports, Ingram will not go on scholarship at Auburn until the fall.

During his senior season at St. Paul’s, Ingram rushed for 1,394 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named Second-Team Class 6A All-State.
