The Auburn Tigers are counting on star RB Kerryon Johnson coming back to lead the offense again in 2018, but the junior could also decide to turn pro.

As the Tigers prepare to play UCF in the Peach Bowl, and as Johnson rehabs his injured shoulder, no decision has been made just yet.

Johnson’s father, Kerry Johnson, confirmed to 247Sports that his son has yet to decide whether he’ll come back to Auburn or head to the NFL:

“There’s no decision yet,” Kerry Johnson said. “We’ll see what the situation is when the time comes, look at it and go from there.”

Kerry Johnson said his son is simply focusing on getting healthy in time for the Tigers’ New Year’s Day bowl game right now:

“You focus on what you have to get done right now,” Kerry Johnson said. “At the end of the season, we’ll weigh it out and make a decision. We went into Auburn thinking four years, but if the opportunity presents itself, it’s something we have to sit down and look at. Our intent has always been for him to finish his time at Auburn.”

Johnson ran for 1,320 yards and 17 touchdowns this year. He also caught two touchdown passes and threw for another.
