Auburn’s 2018-19 season is going to have a whole lot of new faces.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they lost another key veteran on Tuesday.

Junior forward Desean Murray became the third Auburn player to announce that he’s leaving the program:

Murray said in his note that he’s not sure if he’s going to pursue a professional career or if he’ll look to play elsewhere at the collegiate level. At 6-3 and 225 pounds, the forward likely wouldn’t have immediate options in the NBA, but he would have immediate eligibility at another school as a graduate transfer.

In his lone active season with the Tigers, Murray was a valuable piece. He averaged 10 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for an Auburn team that earned a share of the SEC regular season crown.

Murray sat out the 2016-17 because of NCAA transfer rules after he spent two seasons at Presbyterian College.

Auburn already lost guard Davion Mitchell via transfer and Mustapha Heron announced that he would hire an agent and declare for the NBA draft.
