With AD Jay Jacobs stepping down, the Auburn Tigers hired Allen Greene away from Buffalo to replace him.

Now approximately 100 days into his new job, Greene still hasn’t made many major changes to the Auburn athletics program.

On Monday, Greene said that’s by design, as he wants to make sure he has a firm grasp of everything happening on The Plains before making any sweeping changes (via AL.com):

“There are some things that I have in my mind,” Greene said before a meeting of the West Georgia Auburn Club in LaGrange on Monday. “When I talk about putting pen to paper it’s really trying to articulate and play out the long game and try to figure out what makes the most sense.

“I have a better understanding, but I don’t have a great enough understanding yet to be able to say, ‘Here’s what we’re going to do and here’s when we’re going to do it.’ It’ll come when it comes.”

With Gus Malzahn locked into a long-term contract, the football program is set, but questions remain about Bruce Pearl and the men’s basketball program.

However, answers should come in due time, as Greene is getting more familiar with his new post by the day.
