Nick Mardner is heading to the SEC to reunite with his old position coach. After 5 seasons at Hawaii and Cincinnati, Mardner is heading to The Plains to play at Auburn for his final season.

Mardner, listed at 6-6, 215 pounds, announced his transfer decision Monday on social media.

Shortly after Mardner’s tweet, Auburn announced him as a signee at AU.

Mardner began his college career at Hawaii in 2018. He played in just 1 game, taking a redshirt that season.

Over the next 3 seasons (2019-21), Mardner played in 33 games for the Rainbow Warriors, recording 62 catches for 1,270 yards and 8 touchdowns. Mardner’s most productive season at season came in 2021 when he had 46 catches for 913 yards and 5 TDs. Marcus Davis was Mardner’s position coach at Hawaii that season. Davis is now the wide receivers coach on Hugh Freeze’s Auburn staff.

Mardner spent the 2022 season at Cincinnati. He had 19 catches for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns in 12 games.
