Omari Kelly, an Auburn wide receiver, announced his plans to enter the transfer portal on Friday via a social media post.

A 3-star athlete, Kelly played sparingly for the Tigers during the past 2 seasons. The 6-foot sophomore tallied 3 receptions for 56 yards in 4 game appearances this season.

“These past 2 years have been nothing short of a blessing, and I am very thankful and appreciative of how I was welcomed and given an opportunity to change my life forever,” Kelly wrote.

“To the current and old staff, I would like to say thank you for giving me the chance to better myself on and off the field under your guidance; the lessons I learned will forever be with me,” Kelly added.

“To my teammates, I just want to let you know that I have built a d bond with each one of you that will never be forgotten,” Kelly continued. “I love y’all boys, and I wish you all nothing but the best in your future endeavors.”

“I would also like to give a special thank you to everyone behind the scenes from the training staff to the social media team,” Kelly added. “Words cannot explain how grateful I am that our paths crossed, and I will always remember the relationships I built with each of you.”

“While there is no love lost, Auburn brought out the best in me even when I couldn’t see it at times, and I will forever be thankful for everything,” Kelly concluded.
