Payton Thorne and the Auburn Tigers are coming out of their bye on a 3-game losing streak in SEC play. They have had opportunities in a couple of these games to win, but mistakes and turnovers have really hurt the team.
However, despite the lack of success recently, Thorne still believes that Auburn is capable of winning any game remaining on its schedule.
โAnybody can win any week. Itโs really about who plays better on that Saturdayโฆ

“I donโt think thereโs a single game on our schedule that we canโt win the rest of the season,” Thorne said on ‘The Next Round Live’ show. “I donโt think thereโs a single game on our schedule that we canโt lose. I think most teams can say that. It is going to depend on how we play each and every Saturday, and how we prepare throughout the week. It really is a one game at a time type of deal.”
Thorne on the season has been solid, as he has thrown for 1,238 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also thrown 6 interceptions, including the game-clinching pick in the loss to Oklahoma.
The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, and the schedule doesn’t get any easier. Auburn is on the road at No. 19 Missouri at 12:00 p.m. ET and the game will be on ESPN.
