Ole Miss fans feeling robbed after Auburn survives again thanks in part to blown call
Auburn survived on the road on Saturday in Oxford, beating the Rebels 35-28, but the big story from this one will undoubtedly be another big blown call helping the Tigers earn a win this season.
Auburn is 3-2 but probably should be 1-4 on the season — just ask Arkansas fans.
If you missed the controversial play, Shaun Shivers touches the football on this Auburn kick return before the ball bounce into the end zone and is recovered by Ole Miss.
The result of that should have been an Ole Miss touchdown but the refs said Shivers did not touch the football. Play on the field was not stopped for a review, although the SEC Network analysts claim the SEC review booth did take a look at the play.
You can clearly see Shivers’ finger move as the ball hits his hand in the video below:
The balls CLEARLY hits the #auburn players pinky on the kickoff and should be a recovery in the end zone by #OleMiss for 6pts. How is this not reviewed @SEC? #TerrribleSECofficiating #AUBvsMISS @MichaelWBratton @thatSECpodcast @BigOrangeVolz pic.twitter.com/3vmY0XYn2l

The reaction from Ole Miss fans was predictable:
I’m sure Auburn boosters aren’t at all haunted by the fact the Tigers would be 1-4 without SEC refs
