An Auburn linebacker could be leaving Gus Malzahn’s program, as Josh Marsh is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.

Marsh has not played a snap this season, after opting out in the offseason. Marsh contracted COVID-19 earlier this year.

Marsh only has three total tackles in his Auburn career, only playing in two games in 2019 as a reserve linebacker. Marsh was a 3-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite, coming from Decatur, Alabama.

The 6-foot-2, 219-pound linebacker has not announced any future plans for his college football career.

Entering the transfer portal does not bound a player to transfer out. Players have the option to withdraw from the portal. Being in the portal would allow other programs to contact and recruit Marsh.
