Auburn recently held its Pro Day for NFL-hopeful former Tigers. One prominent prospect, however, wasn’t able to go and has now reportedly scheduled his own Pro Day in Auburn.

Jordan Reid of The Draft Network is reporting that former Auburn OT Prince Tega Wanogho has scheduled a Pro Day at AU for April 8. Wanogho is recovering from a minor knee scope he had in late January, which caused him to miss the Senior Bowl and not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine (Wanogho still attended the Indianapolis event). Wanogho told the Montgomery Advertiser in January that he was surprised he was red-flagged by the doctors at the Senior Bowl for swelling in his knee.

“It was surprising the doctors saying that,” Wanogho said at the time. “I didn’t really find out until this morning that I actually got red-flagged not to play or practice. I’m kind of surprised about it, too. Coming down here I already had my mind right to play and practice, but it is what it is and the end of the day.”

The Pro Day workout figures to be important for Wangoho. A Cleveland.com draft profile published on Monday projects Wanogho as a second-round pick in April’s Draft. Reid himself goes into more detail, calling Wanogho a potential top-50 pick.
