One of the best and most versatile running backs in Auburn history will soon have his status cemented as one of the best athletes in the history of Alabama.

That’s because the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame is set to officially induct Ronnie Brown as a member of the organization’s 2020 class. Brown’s induction will be done virtually during the 52nd annual induction ceremony of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.

The event is scheduled to be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m.

During his time on The Plains, Brown rushed for 2,707 yards and 28 touchdowns and added 688 receiving yards and another two scores among his 58 receptions.

After leaving Auburn, Brown was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Brown played 10 years in the NFL, rushing for 5,391 yards and 38 touchdowns and had 246 receptions for 1,966 yards and two touchdowns.
