One of the most-intriguing quarterback prospects in this year’s NFL Draft is Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham, who has a world of talent but wasn’t showcased well at Auburn at times.

Stidham is at the NFL Combine this week, and he’s a guy who could really rise up draft boards with a strong performance.

Stidham’s draft prep got off to a good start last month at the Senior Bowl, and he made an impression on event director Jim Nagy. Nagy said this week that he thinks Stidham is absolutely an NFL starter (via 247Sports):

“He throws a beautiful ball,” Nagy said. “I’ve said it before, he looks like he came out of the womb throwing the football. Mechanically, he’s the best in this class. The ball just comes off his hand really clean. I don’t think he had the year he expected to have. I don’t think Auburn fans had the year they expected, but a lot of times as a quarterback, you have to look around what happens at the quarterback position. I think you saw in the bowl game when Coach Malzahn was calling those plays and they put up 56 points in one half. I think Jarrett is a potential starter (in the NFL).”

Stidham threw for 2,794 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2018. He had 18 touchdowns and six picks in 2018.

He has all the talent, though, so we’ll see if he can impress in Indianapolis this weekend.
