Smoke Monday and Derick Hall were among former and current Auburn players to weigh in about the Bryan Harsin situation at Auburn, including Lee Hunter’s comments.
Derick Hall, a veteran EDGE, offered support for Harsin, and wrote on Twitter to the Auburn family to not believe the things you see.
“We are behind him 100% no matter what’s being said,” Hall wrote. “Great man of character who loves this team.”
Conversely, Monday, who a month ago said he would declare for the NFL Draft, confirmed earlier comments from Lee Hunter on Instagram when he said Auburn players were treated “like dogs.”
“Love Auburn to death but this is real and true,” Monday wrote on Instagram. “And I was at auburn for 4 years and it never felt like how it felt this past season.”
Monday also wrote that Harsin doesn’t understand players who came from “nothing.” Though Harsin is a “hell of a coach,” Monday wrote that in order for guys to succeed, this has to change.
Auburn Family, Don’t Believe The Things You See. @CoachHarsin Works Harder Than No Other Man To Put This Program In The Best Position To Be Successful Point Blank Period. We Are Behind Him 100% No Matter What’s Being Said. Great Man Of Character Who Loves This Team!
