Former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville made a pretty big indication about his future plans on Thursday.

Paperwork filed with the Alabama Secretary of State reveals that Tuberville loaned himself $100,000 for a campaign to run for state governor, according to report by al.com.

Tuberville, who coached the Tigers from 1999-2008, had previously refuted claims that he had not made a final decision on pursuing a role in public office and reaffirmed that notion as early as Thursday night.

“I’m not doing it just to have a job, and I’m not doing it for ego — if I do it — I truly want to help the people because I have seen a lot of things in this state that can be improved,” Tuberville told al.com.

This loan was the fist for the upcoming 2018 election cycle. Tuberville reportedly indicated that he would run as a Republican, which means he can not receive or ask for contributions until June 5, 2017.
