Tony Fair has made his decision, he’s staying in the state of Alabama to continue his playing career at Auburn.
Fair announced his decision on Instagram.
The former UAB defensive lineman recently announced Auburn, Ole Miss and Purdue were the three schools he would be picking from to continue his football journey — Fair is a native of Indiana.
The 345-pound lineman registered 56 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one sack and three forced fumbles in two seasons at UAB. He began his college football career at Indiana State.
Fair was listed as a senior last season but he still has one season of eligibility remaining after the NCAA gave all players the option to take a free season of eligibility in 2020.
Auburn’s newest member of the team fills an immediate need on the roster as the program lost Daquan Newkirk (Florida) and Coynis Miller (Jackson State) to the transfer portal while Jaren Handy and Jay Hardy both recently entered the portal.
Handy and Hardy have not yet announced where they will be continuing their college football careers.
