One of the top safeties in the class of 2021 is ready to make his commitment. Ahmari Harvey out of Florida State University School in Tallahassee, Florida will decide between Auburn, FSU and Texas A&M on Aug. 21, according to 247Sports.

Listed at over 5-10 and 171 pounds, Harvey is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 safety, No. 28 player in Florida and No. 178 prospect overall nationally in the class on the 247Sports Composite.

The Sunshine State standout’s recruitment has taken some twists and turns. In February, Florida appeared to be the favorite. Harvey named the Gators as one of his top teams along with Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Florida State and Penn State. He trimmed that list to Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Texas A&M in July. UF has since been cut from that final 4.

AU is now the favorite to land Harvey. All 8 of the Crystal Ball predictions  posted since July have gone to Gus Malzahn’s Tigers, including a high-confidence submission from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

In 2019, Harvey posted a 4.70-second 40 time at a regional edition of The Opening in February and an 11.39-second 100-meter time in March. Harvey has accepted an invitation to take part in the Under Armour All-America postseason high school all-star game.

Harvey will announce his commitment on Aug. 21 at 1 p.m. ET on streaming network CBS Sports HQ.
