Walker Kessler was a 5-star big man in the 2020 recruiting class. He committed to North Carolina, though Auburn was heavily involved until the end.

As a freshman in 2020-21, Kessler played in 29 games for the Tar Heels, averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
