The Auburn Tigers are heading to Omaha with a chance to win a College World Series title!
That’s something that hasn’t been said in 22 years, as the last time the Tigers made it this far was all the way back in 1997. A 13-run first inning spurred the Tigers this time around, as they defeated host North Carolina 14-7 in a do-or-die Game 3 in Monday’s super-regional finale.
After the final out was recorded, the celebration was on. As you can see below, the Tigers made the most of their chance to celebrate:

This is the first trip to the College World Series that has occurred during these players’ lifetimes, so it is a special achievement, indeed.
Now, they’ll be in a bracket with SEC West rival Mississippi State with a chance to advance to the final series.
