One thing is for sure — Auburn has a bright future at the QB position.
Between redshirt freshman Joey Gatewood and early enrollee Bo Nix, this position could be great for Gus Malzahn in the near future.
Nix saw his first Auburn action Saturday during the Tigers spring game, and he has not disappointed. Nix threw two beautiful TDs in the first half and finished 11-of-14 for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
Here’s his first to Eli Stove:

The second was a 49-yard bomb to a wide open Matthew Hill:

Nix and Gatewood are battling for the starting job, and it likely won’t be decided until fall camp; however, the duo has played really well during A-Day thus far.
Gatewood finished 7-of-10 for 123 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
