For the second year in a row, the New England Patriots selected an SEC quarterback with one of their picks in the NFL Draft.

This year, the defending Super Bowl champions used a fourth-round pick on Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham, who will now compete for a job backing up the legendary Tom Brady.

We hope it was much more exciting for Stidham than it seemed for Belichick, who is not a man prone to outbursts of emotions.

Still, the Pats clearly see something they like in Stidham, and we’ll see what role he fills this fall for the team.
