Recently, Carolina Panthers QB and former Auburn star Cam Newton made some time (like he frequently does) to meet with children following a training camp session.

As you can see below, Newton was meeting with children in wheelchairs, handing out free gear and letting them get some face-to-face time with one of their favorite players.

Apparently, though, one Alabama fan in attendance thought it would be a great time to heckle Newton with a “Roll Tide!” yell, as you can hear in the video:

Why a fan felt the need to bring a college rivalry into an NFL training camp may never be known, but at least it didn’t ruin the special moment for the children involved.

Regardless of which side of the rivalry you are on, this was a great gesture from Newton, and one that should be celebrated without any additional commentary.
