There have been rumors and reports of Auburn football players bashing some of their teammates. And one former Tiger is not OK with it.

During an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Friday, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic went off on the anonymous sources in the Auburn locker room that are talking to the media and saying bad things about some of their teammates.

Cubelic, who played at Auburn from 1996-2001, is not happy about it, and he certainly voiced that displeasure.

“I don’t know who it is, and I don’t know who it was, or what position they hold within that football team,” Cubelic said on the show. “But if you are the guy that thinks it’s OK to go to the media and slander your teammates to the media, and have character assassination to some of the teammates on your team, that you share a locker room with, you’re the problem on the Auburn football team.

“Because there’s plenty of blame to go around from an execution standpoint, an alignment standpoint an an assignment standpoint. There’s not one person on that football team that’s playing good enough ball to be able to go talk to [reporters] and talk about how bad of teammates he has on his football team. Not one. There’s not a football player in the country that’s playing that good enough football.”

And Cubelic didn’t stop there.

“To do it on a team that’s struggling, to me, shows what you’re about, whoever that person is,” Cubelic said. “I don’t know who the source of all that information is. But whoever it is needs to be smoked out, and they need to find out soon, before things get worse inside that Auburn locker room.”
