As the NFL Draft approaches, one of the most-interesting prospects is former Auburn QB John Franklin III, who never quite found his position in college.

JF3, who also played quarterback for Florida State and wide receiver for Florida Atlantic, has some serious wheels, but it remains to be seen if that alone will translate to the NFL.

However, last week, Franklin appeared to run a 4.19-second 40-yard dash, as you can see in the video below, shared by Travis Shelton on YouTube. Though the timing can certainly be questioned, it does seem to be a legitimate mark:

If Franklin can replicate that speed in Indianapolis this week, he’ll break former Washington WR John Ross’s combine record of 4.22 seconds.

That will certainly turn heads, but the former Tiger will still have to impress in other areas if he’s going to get drafted.
