CBS halftime crew called out on social media for not knowing about Clemson tradition

If you cover college football for a living, you should probably know something about college football.

Clemson picked up a come-from-behind 27-21 win over Syracuse on Saturday to move to 8-0 the season.

At halftime of the Ole Miss-LSU game on CBS, the halftime crew for CBS expressed shock during highlights of the Clemson win that Tigers fans would take to the field for beating the Orange.

That might have been a valid observation from Adam Zucker, Brian Jones, and Rick Neuheisel if not for the fact that Clemson fans head down on the field after every home game.

It’s a school tradition, and the lack of knowledge exhibited by the CBS crew was subsequently hammered on social media:

Entire CBS halftime crew just expressed shock that Clemson would storm the field against Syracuse.

How does one cover college football and not know that Clemson does this after every home win? Feels like there’s always someone on TV surprised by it.
