Teams in the market for a wide receiver may be looking at a soon-to-be former Clemson receiver who’s looking for a new home.

Clemson redshirt junior wide receiver T.J. Chase, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, has entered the transfer portal, according to Clemson247. Chase is expected to graduate in May and be immediately eligible to play one season.

Chase is a Plant City, Fla. native and is a former 4-star. As a member of the Class of 2016, Chase was ranked as the No. 43 wide receiver, No. 233 overall prospect, and No. 33 prospect from Florida per the 247Sports Composite.

Chase reportedly committed to Clemson over Florida State, but he had 25 offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Notre Dame.

Chase through the 2019 regular season had 25 career receptions for 206 yards with three touchdowns in 535 snaps over 41 career games. In 2019 alone, he caught seven passes for 70 yards in 177 snaps over 12 games. In 2018, Chase caught 13 passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns in 178 snaps over 15 games.

He has three career touchdown catches, and has also excelled as a special teams player.
