Billy Gonzales has plenty of experience as an assistant coach, particularly in the SEC.
He was most recently a part of Dan Mullen’s staff at Florida, serving as the Gators’ WR coach from 2018-21. He was also working with Mullen at Mississippi State from 2013-17.
Now, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Gonzales is heading to Florida Atlantic to coach WRs under head coach Willie Taggart:

Prior to his time working under Mullen at Mississippi State and Florida, Gonzales was with Illinois in 2012, LSU in 2010 and 2011, Florida (again) from 2005-09, Utah, Bowling Green and Kent State. He played WR at Colorado State from 1989-1992.
Gonzales was part of the coaching staff on the Gators’ 2006 and 2008 national championship-winning squads.
