D.J. Eliot

Eliot’s worked at the Division I level since 1999, but didn’t develop a following until his recent three-year stint at Florida State as the Seminoles’ defensive ends coach. Eliot’s unit in Tallahassee was annually one of the nation’s leaders in sacks and tackles for loss, catching the eye of fellow assistant and current Kentucky coach Mark Stoops who hired the Wyoming alum in 2013.

Stoops was a defensive backs coach on Wyoming’s staff in the late 1990s during Eliot’s playing days as a linebacker. The pair have shared a lasting relationship since.
